Wedding dress sitting in your closet, now what?
A client contacted me about re-purposing her wedding dress for a function she needed to attend.
OK, what did she have in mind. First we thought we could dye it but that required some pretty heavy duty chemicals. How about taking in apart and making a skirt and complimenting it with a new top?
Old wedding dress.
Not too bad of a line.
We cut it off at just above the waist and then added two layers of fabric.
The first layer was a silver with a scroll design and then a shear burgandy over that.
For the top she had found a top off of a series on TV and fell in love with it.
A mock had to be made first.
Then took it and made the top from that
Client loved it and had to twick it only once.
She was the belle of the ball.
What re-purposing have you done?
